More than 80% of the code Anthropic ships is now written by its own AI. A year ago that number was close to zero.
One of their engineers says it's been about five months since he last wrote a line of code by hand.
And in April, the AI fixed around 800 bugs in a single run. It reduced an entire category of errors by almost 1000x, work the engineer in charge believed would have taken a human nearly four years.
Anthropic put all of this in a report..
